This EP was mainly written over the passed two years. I find it is some of my most personal work as even though each track is mainly instrumental, they are each like a musical ‘theme’ of what’s been going on in my mind these past 2 years. From questioning what life is to arguing against and thinking of all the depressingly unjust circumstances human beings have created for each other and the other beings we share this planet with, animal and non-animal. Every once in a while there is some joy or strength I find again in little things that spark a will to be optimistic and see the world with a fresh set of eyes. Each track was crafted in a different state of mind. Overall a hope for the best of the world, not just humanity, but all living things.

This quote from David Puttnam in his talk ‘The Reality of Climate Change’ sums the album up well - ‘’Human beings given the right circumstances, given the right leadership, given the right opportunities can do the right thing. We don’t HAVE to be stupid. We CAN do the right thing. And remember, the anti-Vietnam war protests which I was involved in, the Iraq war protests. These people weren’t wrong, they weren’t wrong, they were actually right and subsequent events have proved them to be right. So the notion that somehow action is ignored, yes it maybe, but you also are in a position as I am to say ‘Actually, I was there, I was right.’” So fitting for the global circumstances we currently live in. The quote also appears on the last track of the EP called ‘The Future’.
